Born in Greensboro moved East Charlotte when he was 1yr old and this where he would stay and cultivate the creativity that would lead his life choices for years to come. He started recording music in professional studios at the age of 13, participated in numerous talent shows and was opening act for major artist as well.
    While still in high school he would start being a part of exclusive releases that would continue throughout the 90s and 00’s. Being raised in 80’s/90’s era hip hop illy to pay homage to the culture that intrigued him so much as a kid through his rymes and styles , u may catch a flash back to the past while taking in something totally new at the same time. Southern accented flow and emotional delivery sure to strike a nerve, or touch your soul w/ the high energy whitty lyrics all while continuously making his high impact contribution to those who have been privy to get there hands on a illy release.
 G1 or God1st Illy continues to make his contribution through solo features and release as well as being a member of the group Grumpy Hustla, when asked about his involvement in the group he said “Grumpy Hustla is the most exciting & most creative adventure I have been a part of, maybe ever.
